Totally Appenin was founded in 2016 by Conall Duffy with one aim: build genuinely quality software for businesses at an affordable price. Nearly a decade on we build bespoke mobile apps, websites, online shops and the business systems behind them for clients across Northern Ireland, Ireland, mainland UK and further afield.

We are a small, senior team and we keep it that way deliberately. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it, and the number on the contact page reaches the people who wrote your code rather than an account manager. Every project starts with a free consultation and a written quote, and we will tell you if a simpler option would do the job.

We take on the projects other agencies pass on — the integrations nobody wants to unpick, the processes that do not fit an off-the-shelf product, the systems that have to talk to something old and awkward. That is the work we are best at, and it is why clients come to us in the first place.

What keeps them is the quality of what they end up with. We do not ship a system and walk away from it: software we built years ago is still being updated, still on current frameworks and still using the latest tooling and techniques, rather than being left to age until it has to be replaced. We work end to end — design, build, hosting, support and the marketing that gets it found — and if you already have a system that works, we integrate with it rather than insisting you replace it.

AI-powered software, built and supported better

AI assists us at every stage of a build. It helps us write and review code, catch problems before they ever reach you, and generate the test coverage that stops them coming back. Software leaves us with fewer bugs in it than it would have done a few years ago.

It has changed how we support systems just as much. When something does go wrong, AI helps us trace it through the code and the logs quickly instead of picking through it by hand, so problems get diagnosed and resolved in a fraction of the time.

AI is in the software we deliver, too, not just in how we build it. Features like the personalised workout plans in the MacFit Club app are AI-powered, and our AI chatbots help users navigate and action work within their own systems. That is becoming the norm across what we build: the software does more of the thinking, so the people using it have less to work out for themselves. It makes our apps easier to use than they have ever been.
